EVENTO > TRANSLATIONAL NEUROSCIENCE AND MENTAL DISORDERS

Data do Evento:
De 23 Novembro a 05 Abril de 2016

Local do Evento:
Erice, Sicily, ITALY

Informações:

The overall purpose of the Workshop, held in memory of the seminal contributions of the late Bob Blanchard (University of Hawaii), is to discuss the extent to which growing attention to bidirectional translation between animal and human research has led to an improved understanding of the nature and treatment of mental disorders. It will focus on several topic areas for which increased understanding of bio-behavioral mechanisms in animal models, or in people, involves research that is informed and sometimes even guided by analyses and procedures emerging from work done in the other species. The format will involve talks by international authorities who have been engaged in such research, primarily on a single level (animal or human). However, we intend that all speakers should be prepared to discuss how their research relates to concepts arising from the other level. The workshop will be highly interdisciplinary including those specializing in affective, behavioral and/or social neuroscience.
